Knights of The Father is a collaborative work of devoted Christian men within the churches of Christ. What began as a ministry focused on equipping and uplifting fathers has grown to serve all men of faith—calling brothers in Christ to courage, humility, leadership, and strength rooted in God’s Word.
Our goal is to:
- Call men to the standard of biblical manhood—living as courageous disciples and servant leaders.
- Provide resources for Christian men and families—from inductive Bible study guides to family devotion materials.
- Encourage and uplift men—whether single, married, mentoring, or fathering.
- Equip men to nurture, love, and lead in their homes, congregations, and communities.
We believe “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV).
As such, we believe:
- God created human beings in His image, male and female, as distinct and complementary sexes (Genesis 1:27). These sexes are determined by biology and are integral to God’s design and purpose for humanity. Each person is created with dignity and worth, and the distinction between male and female reflects the beauty and order of God’s creation.
- God intended from the very beginning for a marriage to be between a man and a woman for life (Matthew 19:4-6)
- God intended from the very beginning for men to be the leaders in their families and in the church (1 Timothy 2:8-15; 1 Corinthians 11:1-3, 14:34-35). [Note: We do not believe men to be superior to women in any way. We do not believe this is a matter of who is more capable or more intelligent. It is simply God’s intentions and we seek to follow them.]
- God intends for parents to train their children in spiritual matters (Deuteronomy 6:7, Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:4).
- God does not hold children accountable for their parents’ sins and children do not inherit sin; we each start off pure and separate ourselves from God by sinning (Ezekiel 18:20; Romans 3:23, 5:12).
- God will hold us accountable for our sins if we do not know Him and obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
- God planned the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus) before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
- God intends for us to obey the gospel by dying to our sins, being buried in baptism, and by living by God’s instructions in our new lives (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:2-4, Colossians 2:9-12, 1 Peter 3:21-22).
The Bible has many more teachings we should know and says much more about each of these. This is not meant as a creed to follow. It is simply to show that we use the Bible as our authority and not the opinions, doctrines, or cultures of man. If you would like to discuss any of these, please contact us.
